Star is a Toggenburg / Nubian cross and one of Robin’s kids. She was born back in February of 08' the day before an ice storm. She stays close to Brother Peanut. They jump and play much as they did as small kids.
As happens Star was accidentally impregnated. We were not aware until this spring. As we examined other goats who were near birth, and noticed she was "showing". Not knowing when this occurred we had no idea when to expect her to kid. One day while caring for the animals I noticed a small kid, that I didn't recognize. Star had given birth and cared for her kid well. Tamah is now 6 weeks old and doing well.
Star is milking on the stand and has a promising future.
