Robin

This is Robin. Robin is a Seven year old Toggenburg. We purchased her from an Amish farmer November 6, 2006. She was our first goat.
The Amish family we got her from had a tradition of allowing one of their young children to name the goats and he named them after breakfast cereals.
As a result, Robin came to us with the name Cornflake.
When we got her home and introduced her to our children, I allowed our son to name her. He named her after one of my best friends. To be kind to my friend, we changed the spelling of the name.
Robin has been a wonderful goat and has made herself a great queen in the small herd. She has been pregnant Six times so far. Two of those times was with the Amish and when we got her, she was in the middle of her third pregnancy.
She is stubborn, intelligent, quick, affectionate, a good mother, and a decent milker.
Update: This spring she kidded Zoro and Ella. Robin remains the queen and is very affectionate still often nuzzling me while milking.
